We were so excited about Bryce's first Christmas! He was really into opening the gifts and pulling the tissue paper out of the gift bags. He got a rock and bounce Radio Flyer horse, pull-along learning bug, learning snail, his first football, V.Smile Baby video game, sit-n-learn chair and desk, mega blocks, a pair of New Balance tennis shoes, clothes, and much more. Santa told us that Bryce was the best kid he had ever kept his eye on! Eric and I would have to agree.
Bryce first saw his gift, the rock and bounce Radio Flyer horse, that Uncle Nick sent from Alabama. Eric put it together Christmas Eve and had it sitting in front of the tree for Christmas morning. He really liked it! I changed his diaper and fed him before we opened gifts and once I was done changing his diaper he crawled over to the horse and stared at it but didn't touch it like he knew he wasn't supposed to even see it yet.

Granny & Papaw's House for Thanksgiving
We went to Granny and Papaw's house for Thanksgiving. Bryce got to meet Alexis for the first time and really enjoyed seeing her. He also got to spend some quality time with the entire family. He loves his Aunt Brooke. She was by his side the hole time and is a great babysitter. Granny got Bryce to sleep several times...this time Carson wanted in on the action too!

Stand by Me!
Well, it's happening sooner than we had hoped, but it appears as though we will have an early walker, Bryce has begun to stand unassisted and even taking several steps before losing balance. It won't be long before he is walking.
After 1 month of walking with his Lion and this is what he looks like now when he plays with it.

Almost in a Big Boy Car Seat....
I took Bryce to the doctor today to get his second flu shot. Since this is the first time he's ever gotten the flu shot he has to get two rounds of it for it to be effective. While we were there I had the nurse weigh him because when he reaches 20 lbs. we can put him in a forward facing car seat. He weighed 19 lbs. 14 oz...2 oz. away from moving up to the big boy car seat.
I'm so excited to put him in the forward facing car seat. As alert as he is I know he's going to love watching everywhere we go!! He already watches me and the cars through his mirror I have attached to the back seat. It's set up so that I can see him through my rear-view mirror.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot the most important part of the visit...he didn't cry at all when the nurse gave him the shot. Just a little whimper and that was it! This nurse did a lot better than the one at our previous visit!!

Bryce and the Lion
Since he's crawling and pulling up what better way to keep him learning new things than to buy a walking toy. Here's a video of him walking behind his new lion toy. He loves it because it roars but it kind of sounds like it laughs at him when he falls over with it. I'm sure within a few weeks he'll have this conquered!

First Time Seeing Uncle Tony
6 Months Old!!
Bryce now weighs 18 lbs. 3 oz., he's 27" long, and according to Doc he's definitely going to be an early motor baby! He got 4 shots, including a flu shot. We have to go back in 4 wks. for him to get his 2nd flu shot to make it effective. Since Bryce has turned 6 mos. we've added a few more fruits/veggies to his diet...sweet potatoes and bananas (which he loves)! He tried a biter biscuit and loved it...he also sat at the table in his booster seat like a big boy! He's always helping out by grabbing anything and everything he sees. He tries sitting up by himself which results in nothing but him doing a bunch of crunches (sit-ups) a day. He started sleeping in his own room at night, but usually winds up in bed with Mommy...we're working into it though. I've started feeding him two veggies then milk/nursing for lunch and dinner. I think the addition of calories to his diet helps him sleep a little better. He's really got the walking down pat while holding on to us. Not to mention him starting more babbling like...Bababababa! It's so funny because it sounds like Byebyebyebye! He's such a big boy and learning so much, so fast, it's scary.
